How Many People Can Say They Really Love Their Job?
The Doggie Diva Puppy Dog Boutique Online (12 Years now & going strong!)...
When all the other kids were saying they wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, a teacher, etc... I was confused. I never knew exactly what I wanted to be (and certainly never thought I would be the owner of an online shop), I just would always tell everyone that I wanted to own my own business, which is all I ever wanted to do. And that is what turned into an everyday thought and passion. I would research, brainstorm, learn, etc... all about businesses, how to start them, how to run them, what to go into, etc... I would read books about different famous business people and their story on how they started and how they became successful.
Honestly, if anyone back then would have said I would have been the owner of a puppy boutique selling cute dog clothes, and selling other stuff like pet strollers, elk antlers, college dog clothes, and other pet products at my own pet boutique... I would have laughed at them. We barely even had the internet back then! To me, I always wanted to work for myself, and never "The Man", if you know what I mean. I wanted the opportunity to be able to make an unlimited amount of income and be able to go get my hair done or run to a movie, at the same time. I wanted to be able to use my creative abilities and my wisdom and my street smarts to build the business of my dreams.
And while Doggie Diva was never my ultimate goal, it is a huge achievement and I am so proud of my accomplishments thus far and it is the best thing I ever did for myself and my family! I love working online, it's the wave of the future! My super, ultimate goal was always to open a brick and mortar retail pet boutique and be able to buy beautiful things, display them in beautiful ways and interact with people while making them happy, but...to be continued....
